Los Hombres Sensatos (The Wise Men) is the product of the research I made for my final exam to graduate as Graphic Designer. This was made with my 35mm film camera (Nikon FM10) and it's inspired in the four books of the north american writer J. D. Salinger.
This photos keep searching the general idea of the ego suppression and the incessant exercise for what you are good in, like the russian book "The way of a Pilgrim" where this pilgrim's practicing the Jesus Prayer across Russia to reach a communion with God through the ceaseless inner prayer and how this is used in the short story Zooey (and in the life, also) of Salinger. So I adopt this idea and how the work of a north american writer in the 50's can keep inspiring, and how me, a young chilean photographer in a total different context (social, cultural, geographical) can show the manifestation of Salinger's words in a different reality, and also, how I become in that Pilgrim looking for a teacher through some cities of Chile, taking photos with my camera as a "ceaseless inner prayer".

These photographs are part of an ongoing series.
35mm.
